Abstract

48 plants used by the Meo community of Gurgaon district for the treatment of ailments of men and animals have been listed. The ingredients used in preparation and mode of administration of each treatment are also reported. The information on plants and their therapeutic uses was gathered from the local medicine men, ‘Hakim’, nomadic shepherds and older persons of the area.
